Welcome to the Polar Caps Learn to Play "Back to School" session. This program provides players with the opportunity to learn and develop their skating and hockey skills alongside their current and future teammates. Please note that for skaters new to hockey, we will be offering this program throughout the year about every 2 to 3 months.
The Polar Caps LTP is only open to skaters in the Madison West or Memorial HS districts. If you live in another district please consider locating your local hockey club such as the Madison Patriots, Verona Wildcats, Waunakee Wildcats, Middleton Cardinals, or Sun Prairie Cardinals to name a few. Most clubs have a LTP program or an initiation team. If you have any questions on this policy please email firstname.lastname@example.org
This session will be at the Madison Ice Arena.
Ice sessions will be twice per week on Wednesday evenings and Saturday late morning/early afternoon starting September 7th and ending October 8th for a total of 10 practices. The location, dates, and times are as follows.
Due to ice scheduling issues start times may move by up or down by 15 minutes.
Please note that all dates and times will be posted on the Polar Caps website calendar.
The cost of the program is $60 for skaters.
Rental equipment is available for $10.
All skaters will need a USA Hockey Membership. For skaters born 2016 or later this is $15. For older skaters the fee is between $50 and $70. USA Hockey Memberhsip is good for a full year, and must be renewed annually.
A Polar Caps jersey will be provided if needed.
