West Madison Youth Hockey Association

Welcome to the Polar Caps Learn to Play program. This program provides players with the opportunity to learn and develop their skating and hockey skills alongside their current and future teammates. Please note that for skaters new to hockey, we will be offering this program throughout the year about every 2 to 3 months. 

High School District Requirement:

The program is open to families Who reside within the Madison Memorial and Madison West high school districts. 

The Polar Caps LTP is only open to skaters in the Madison West or Memorial HS districts. If you live in another district please consider locating your local hockey club such as the Madison Patriots, Verona Wildcats, Waunakee Wildcats,  Middleton Cardinals, or Sun Prairie Cardinals to name a few.  Most clubs have a LTP program or an initiation team.  If you have any questions on this policy please email info@westmadisonpolarcaps.com

LOCATION:

Sessions will be at the Madison Ice Arena.

Schedule:

LTP Back To School will begin September 13th and will run through October 7th.

LTP Pumpkin will begin October 18th and will run through November 18th.

LTP Snowman will begin December 6th and will run through January 20th.

LTP Valentine will begin January 31st and run through March 2nd.

Ice sessions will be twice per week on Wednesday evenings and Saturday early afternoons starting  in the  late summer. 

• Wednesdays from approx 5:15-6:15pm at Madison Ice Arena.
• Saturdays  in window of approx 2pm to 4pm at Madison Ice Arena.
• TBD one optional night a week for Floorball (Ball hockey) - time and gym TBD.

Please note that all dates and times will be posted on the Polar Caps website calendar.

Cost:

The cost of the program is $75 for skaters per LTP Session (e.g. Back to School, Snowman)

Rental equipment is available for $10 per session (e.g. Back to School, Snowman)

A processing fee of approximately 3% + $1.50 will be added to your total and shown as you progress through this registration. 

All skaters will need a USA Hockey Membership.  USA Hockey Membership is good for a full year, and must be renewed annually.

JERSEY:

A Polar Caps jersey will be provided if needed.

Registration:

This registration form will allow you to provide contact information, sign consents and submit payment. Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover or checking account information available for payment. Note that you will need a current USA Hockey member number to complete this registration.

If you happen to make a mistake during registration it is recommended that you start the process over.  Editing your registration effectively make you go through each page again so starting over is the safest way to avoid issues.

MULTiPLE SKATERS:

If you are registering more than one skater it is recommend to simply complete this form twice. We have experienced some issues adding a second skater to the same registration.
